On March 8th, International Women’s Day, women and our allies will act together creatively to withdraw from the corporations that harm us and find ways to support the businesses, organizations and communities that sustain us.
As we prepare for A Day Without A Woman, we ask:
1. Do businesses support our communities, or do they drain our communities?
2. Do they strive for gender equity or do they support the policies and leaders that perpetuate oppression?
3. Do they align with a sustainable environment or do they profit off destruction and steal the futures of our children?

The strike is inclusive of all women and of all forms of work women do: women working in the formal labor market with or without labor rights, with or without unions and the legal right to strike, and with or without legal status; unemployed women; sex workers; women performing unpaid housework and care work; and students. For this reason, participation in the strike can take several forms:
1. Are you mobile? If so, car pool to Green Bay!
2. Transportation a barrier? Participate in local demonstrations and walkouts in your neighborhood!
3. Not able to leave work? Organize a strike in your workplace. If you have a union, get your union on board; if you don't, assess with your coworkers whether it is possible to organize a walkout without jeopardizing your job.
4. Organize a boycott of companies using sexism in their advertisements or approach to workers.
5. If you can, leave care and housework for the day and/or practice self-care and post on Instagram, FaceBook, Twitter using the hashtag#ADayWithoutAWoman and #WomensStrikeUS
6. In case you can’t stop work, get your friends together who support the strike and wear or use the color red that day, for example, red clothes, or a red ribbon in remembrance of Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women
7. Strike from gender roles and/or practice self-care!
